This update follows a wrongful death lawsuit alleging ChatGPT's involvement in a teen's suicide. The feature, developed in collaboration with experts like Common Sense Media and state attorneys general, requires mutual consent for account linkage.
Parents gain access to customizable safety settings without viewing chat histories. Default protections include filters for sensitive content such as sexual roleplay and extreme beauty standards. Additional controls allow parents to restrict access times and disable features like image generation and voice mode.
